[Video Tutorial] How to block ads on all websites and apps on macOS

In a few easy steps, you can block advertisements from appearing in all of your macOS applications, including the websites you visit in all browsers. This can be done by simply changing the DNS on your Mac to one that filters ads and trackers. With this method of blocking, there are no files to download and the steps are easy!


Follow the steps in the video below to learn how to block ads in apps and websites on your Mac computer:


  1. Click on the 'Apple' menu located in the top left corner of your macOS screen.

  2. Click 'System Preferences' > Network

  3. On the next window, select your connected network adapter on the left or right side. Click 'Advanced...'.

  4. Select the 'DNS' tab on the top.

  5. Click the (-) symbol to remove any existing DNS addresses.

  6. Click the (+) symbol to add a new DNS address.

  7. Enter the following two AdGuard DNS addresses:

94.140.14.14

94.140.15.15


8. Click the 'OK' button

9. Click the 'Apply' button
