The Logitech G502 Hero Wired Gaming Mouse has been one of my favorite computer mice for several years. With this mouse, I've played games for countless hours and use it to work 8 to 10 hours a day, Monday through Friday. I think it's safe to say that I've given this mouse a workout. Even after the "miles" I've put this mouse through, it continues to perform exceptionally well. Currently, you can purchase the Logitech G502 Hero for only $34.99 on Amazon. The current deal takes 56% off the list price! ($79.99)
Logitech G502 Hero Features:
11 customizable buttons
Adjustable weight system
Programmable RGB lights
Mechanical switch button tensioning
Hero 25K sensor
Adjustable DPI range (200-25,600 dpi)
Custom game profiles
Pros:
The mouse feels excellent in my hand. I have average size hands and it fits perfect. It also has some textured grips on the side of the mouse that seem to work pretty well when gaming or performing heavy-duty office work.
The adjustable weights are really easy to change. I simply open the door cover on the bottom of the mouse and remove and add weights to my preference.
I love that I can control the lighting on the mouse. It adds neat ambiance to my office space. Using Logitech's G HUB software, I can control the colors of the lights and even the patterns in which they're displayed. Currently, I have my mouse set to cycle through all the colors (red, green, blue, yellow, purple).
Programming the buttons and sensitivity on the mouse is extremely easy using Logitech's G HUB software. With a few simple clicks, I can program 11 different buttons with any function I want!
Logitech includes a 1-year hardware limited warranty
Cons:
The mouse clicking is loud. Louder than other mice, I've used in the past. This can be somewhat of an annoyance and takes getting used to.
Dust, hair and other debris tend to build up around the weights below the bottom cover. You'll have to do some minimal routine maintenance to clean the dirt from the spaces around the weights.
A few of the 11 buttons spread around the mouse are very sensitive and easy to press by accident. This can be really annoying when you're trying to work on something, and you press the wrong mouse button. Fortunately, this issue can be easily resolved by using Logitech's G HUB software and disabling any mouse button you want!
Conclusion:
The Logitech G502 Hero Gaming Mouse is worth every penny. You can't beat the price for the amazing features and quality, this mouse provides. This mouse has proven the test of time and performance over the years in my work and gaming environment and is expected to last for many more!
